Our Story

Experiencing teenagers requires patience, restraint, and a basic tolerance for being confidently corrected by someone with limited life experience and strong opinions. If you've ever parented a teenager, worked with teenagers, or are currently raising a future teenager, this will feel familiar.

We learned this firsthand. Each of our kids developed their own strategy for testing limits and patience, usually delivered with a sigh, an eye roll, or both frequently before we had finished the sentence they were already disagreeing with.

One of the most reassuring things was realizing we weren't the only ones. We'd share a story about our teenagers, and another parent would immediately say, "Mine does that too." Different kids, different families, somehow the exact same conversations kept happening, right down to the eye rolls.

Because when a teenager says “WHATEVER,” it is rarely an attempt to improve communication. It is typically followed by an abrupt exit and several hours of silence intended to suggest you are somehow responsible for a situation they created. We made it a game because dealing with teenagers can be exhausting, frustrating, and strangely universal. Sometimes the only thing left to do is laugh at an argument you never wanted to have about a problem that didn't exist five minutes ago.

Yes, this game is at their expense. But let's be honest, they've been supplying the content for years. Consider it a small return on a very large investment.

Based on real events. Unfortunately.
