How to Play

1. Set Up

Shuffle the three decks:

  • Teen Scenario
  • Teen Mood
  • Parent Response

Each Parent draws 6 Parent Response cards.

Choose a Teen. (Youngest player or most dramatic works.)

3. Parents Respond

Each Parent chooses the Parent Response card from their hand that they believe best addresses the situation.

Or confidently makes it worse.

Place your card face down in the center of the table.

4. The Teen Decides

The Teen reads all Parent Responses aloud.

Tone matters.

The Teen chooses the response that feels most correct.

Correct does not mean logical.

It just means that's the one they're going with.

5. Score a Point

The Parent whose response is chosen wins the round and keeps the Teen Scenario card as proof this happened.

"Winning" mostly means the "Teen" thought your response sounded familiar. Enjoy it. It may not happen again.

Then each "Parent" draws one card to replace the one they played, preparing themselves to confidently misunderstand the next situation.

6. Who Goes Next

The winning “Parent” becomes the “Teen.” Power transfers

immediately. No one is emotionally ready.

7. How to Win

The first “Parent” to 5 points wins.

Or play until:

Someone insists they’re winning anyway. A “Teen” declares the

whole thing “unfair.” The vibes shift and the game is somehow about

feelings now.

Example Round

Teen Scenario:

Your teen completes enough of the chore to technically start an argument, then leaves.

Teen Mood:

Low battery high attitude.

Parent Response:

This was not on my bingo card, and I had "unhinged" as the free space.
